Chiral Techniques
Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC)
Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC) has become a popular technique for preparative chromatography. Daicel Chiral Technologies offers chiral columns specifically designed for SFC applications, including both preparative and semi-preparative applications.
SFC advantages
SFC has two main advantages for a number of preparative separations.
- Speed: The mobile phase viscosity is very low, enabling fast, efficient separations and a high production rate.
- Low solvent consumption: SFC uses a small volume of organic solvent – just 10% to 20% of the solvent required for an HPLC separation. This decrease in solvent consumption makes it easier and faster to recover the products from the small modifier volumes.
Daicel chiral columns are designed to take full advantage of these benefits.
Separation services
Daicel Chiral Technologies can provide contract separation services using SFC, as well as HPLC and SMB techniques, to meet your needs. By matching your project with our broad array of equipment, we optimize both throughput and lead time to provide the best solution for you.
